Tyler Savage brings a lifelong passion for boats and over five years of professional marine industry experience to every project. Originally from San Diego, Tyler was drawn to marine repair through his love of sailing and boat building, turning that passion into a career focused on solving problems and keeping boaters safely on the water.
​
Tyler works on a wide range of vessels, including sailboats, powerboats, trawlers, sportfishing boats, catamarans, wooden boats, classic boats, and commercial vessels. His broad experience allows him to diagnose and repair everything from routine maintenance issues to complex mechanical and electrical problems.
​
Tyler has extensive experience with many of the industry's leading engine manufacturers and systems, including Yamaha, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, and Mercury.
​
What Tyler enjoys most about his work is the challenge of finding and fixing issues that others may overlook.
​
When he's not working, Tyler is still on the water. He owns a 1974 Cascade 29 sailboat and enjoys skippering small passenger vessels. Hawaii is his favorite boating destination, although his love of the ocean extends wherever the wind and water take him.
​
An outside-the-box thinker with a practical approach to troubleshooting, Tyler also brings the perspective of a professional captain, with over five years of captain experience and hands-on work across more than 1,000 different boats.
​
Whether it's routine maintenance, a challenging repair, or tracking down a hard-to-find issue, Tyler is committed to doing the job right the first time.
Nick Clark
Chief Technician - Bay & Delta
"The most rewarding part of my job is seeing happy customers."
Originally from Texas, Nick's passion for marine repair started the same way it does for many boat owners: by owning a boat himself. That firsthand experience sparked a fascination with how boats work and a dedication to keeping them running at their best.
With more than a decade of experience in the marine industry, Nick works on a wide variety of vessels including sailboats, powerboats, trawlers, sportfishing boats, wooden boats, and classic boats. Whether he's performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting a difficult issue, or tackling a complete restoration, he approaches every project with the same goal: making customers happy.
​
He has extensive experience with MerCruiser engines and systems and enjoys the challenge of diagnosing problems and bringing boats back to life.
​
One of the projects Nick is most proud of is the full restoration of a 1981 Glastron Carlson CVX-537, a labor of love that showcases both his technical skill and his passion for classic boats.
When he's not working, Nick enjoys spending time with his daughter and getting out on the water whenever he can. He owns both a Tahoe ski boat and a Glastron Carlson, and one of his favorite places to boat is the California Delta.

Friendly, funny, and outgoing, Nick is the kind of technician who genuinely enjoys helping fellow boaters. In fact, if you ask him, he'll tell you the truth: "I'm addicted to boats."

Kerry Scott
Chief Cook & Bottle Washer
"20+ years in the marine trade, 16,000 ocean miles, and an honest, get-it-done attitude to match."
Kerry has spent more than 20 years in the marine industry, first as the owner of a boatyard and now leading Quality Marine's mobile service team. Born in Southern California, he spent several years in Kenai, Alaska before returning to Los Angeles to finish high school. His path into marine repair was never really a choice. It was a natural progression from a childhood spent commercial fishing. Since then, he has logged more than 30 years as a sailor and over 16,000 ocean miles. He also comes from a family with saltwater in its blood. His father was a commercial sword fisherman based out of Catalina, California, where the family lived for many years.
​
Today, Kerry spends less time turning wrenches and more time leading the business, coordinating the team, and keeping operations running smoothly. Even so, he remains comfortable working on small engines, sailboat rigging, and general marine repairs. He is especially proud of the crew he has built. Nick has a passion for vintage outboards and trailer boats, while Tyler is an adventurer in his own right and one of the youngest sailors ever to complete a solo voyage to Hawaii.
​
Ask Kerry what accomplishment means the most to him, and he will tell you about taking a 50-year-old sailboat, rebuilding it from the ground up, and successfully sailing it to Hawaii and back. Nothing broke because every detail was prepared correctly the first time. What he enjoys most, however, is the people. The friendships he has built with sailors, mechanics, and boat owners are what make the work worthwhile.
​
Kerry's personal fleet reflects his lifelong passion for boating. It includes an immaculate 1974 36-foot sailboat that is ready to depart on a circumnavigation tomorrow, a beautifully restored 1947 Chris-Craft Rocket that has earned multiple awards, and a Bertram 35 Sportfisher that is his wife's favorite. The company is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and his favorite weekend destination is South Beach Harbor. If you're watching McCovey Cove during a Giants game, there's a good chance you'll spot his boat or one belonging to a friend.
​
Away from the water, Kerry laughs that there is no such thing as not working because everything somehow comes back to boats. And when asked what tool he could never live without, he doesn't point to anything in a toolbox. He simply says, "My guys."
